The MECH POWER program is designed for international students, young professionals, and practicing engineers who plan to enroll in engineering universities in Russia; who want to acquire or systematize knowledge in mechanics for work in the oil and gas, energy, mechanical engineering, and robotics industries; and who need practical skills in calculating the strength of mechanisms and structures.

The program is structured on the “theory to practice” principle and covers 4 key areas of mechanics, which form the foundation for any engineer.

Theoretical mechanics

Statics (forces, support reactions, balance). Kinematics of a point and a solid. Dynamics of mechanical systems

Theory of machines and mechanisms

Classification of mechanisms. Structural, kinematic, and force analysis. Methods for calculating velocities and accelerations.

Strength of materials

Fundamentals of strength, rigidity, and stability. Calculations for tension, compression, torsion, and bending. Construction of stress diagrams.

Machine parts and gears

Mechanical transmissions (gear, planetary). Joints of parts (bolted, welded, riveted)

  • Online

    The training is conducted in a synchronous mode, with the option to view recorded lessons.

  • Schedule and duration of the course

    Classes are held 4 times a week for 4 academic hours. Duration: 4 weeks (intensive) or 8 weeks (standard mode, 2 times a week) at your choice

  • A method without an intermediary language.

    The teaching language is English or Arabic. As the material is mastered, Russian engineering terminology is gradually introduced.

  • Structure of classes

    The teaching is based on real engineering cases and calculations that are as close to practice as possible.

  • Practical tasks

    Solving engineering problems, analyzing kinematic diagrams, constructing stress diagrams, calculating connections.
